Daly-River Water Advisory Committee

The Daly River Water Advisory Committee will provide advice and recommendations on the implementation of various plans to the department and Minister.

Responsibilities

The committee will be responsible for:

• Conducting the mid-term review of the Oolloo Dolostone Aquifer water allocation plan by November 2024
• Implementation of the Oolloo plan from 2024 onwards
• Implementing the Katherine Tindall Limestone Aquifer water allocation plan from 2026 onwards
• Developing the new Daly River Water allocation plan including the other areas from 2027 onwards

Committee members

A chair and members will be listed upon completion of the appointment of the new water advisory committee.

Expression of Interest

The Minister for Environment, Climate Change and Water Security is seeking expressions of interest for the Daly River Water Advisory Committee.

The committee will be appointed for a 4 year term and provide advice on various water allocation plans and the development of a new plan in the Daly River catchment.
