Keep Plains Agricultural Development - Approvals Mapping

Adjoining WA’s iconic Ord River agricultural developments, on the NT side of the border, the 67,500ha Keep Plains Agricultural Development site is accessible via the recently upgraded Keep River Road and comprises NT Portion 3221 (6,600ha) and NT Portion 1584 (60,900ha).

This development offers the potential to further establish a variety of commercial broadacre crops, as well as demonstrate how thriving agricultural precincts can be developed where good soil and water resources co-exist, across jurisdictional boundaries.

The department has mapped the environmental approvals required for development of the Keep Plains Agricultural Development.
