Spatial Data and Mapping Unit

The Spatial Data and Mapping unit (SDM) supports natural resource management programs with the provision of spatial data analysis, geographic information system (GIS) services, spatial system support and the creation of map products.

SDM is responsible for the safe storage and management of the Department of Land Resource Management's spatial datasets and the provision of data resources to external users.

Corporate map products created by SDM are available for free download (as PDF) via Natural Resource (NR) Maps. Go to NR Maps.

Corporate technical reports are now archived in the Northern Territory Library Government e-Publications area as PDF and are searchable and downloadable. Find a report on Territory Stories.

Data exploration and some download capability is available through NR Maps.

Data requests and other general enquiries for natural resource data that is not downloadable can be made through the Data Requests Page on NT.GOV.AU.
