Methane and greenhouse gas studies for Beetaloo Sub-basin

The methane and greenhouse gas studies for the Beetaloo SREBA will address the following attributes:

  • ambient methane concentrations across the region (including natural and anthropogenic sources)
  • basin conceptual model to identify areas of higher risk of geogenic emissions
  • location and emission rates of potential methane sources
  • seasonal or annual variation and identify indicators and methods that will be relevant for an ongoing monitoring program.
